Citizen's 4th of July Committee
Parade Day 2010
WOW!!!!! What a great day for Superior. After the threat of rain all morning our parade came off without a hitch, well kinda of. We want to thank all who brought food for the food drive. This was the first year we tried this and are planing on making it part of the 4th in the future. We collected $300 in cash and a boat load of food. This should be a big shot in the arm for our local food shelves and the more needy in our community. I will be posting more specifics as I find them out. We had 100 entries in the parade and it looks like we only had 4 no show so the 4th was a huge success. The car show was great as always and a BIG thank you to Dennis Vanalstine for all the hard work he does to perfect this great show. He works all year in bringing this to town and Dennis I know the citizens really appreciate all your efforts. I know for sure the 4th of July committee appreciates it. The fireworks, what can I say another great show this year. Kim thanks for your hard work on this it was great. Also a big hand to the entire 4th of July committee for bringing the success of the 4th to our citizens and giving everyone something to enjoy year after year.
We would like to thank everyone who contributed food and also a big thanks to the Federation of Labor for their generous contribution of $100.00 to the food drive. Also thanks to Sonja and the Judges as they had the very hard job of picking the trophy winners but they did a fine job again this year.Also our announcer, Jason what can I say? You were exceptional again this year and a Big thank you for your hard work at setting up and announcing the day of the parade.
