The 2010 Parade Marshals are Julie Norman and Cindy Theien, both employees of the National Bank of Commerce.  Several months ago, the women began looking into various ways they could provide food or other help to members of our community.  It was then they learned about the Nutrition on Weekends (NOW) program which provides food to children who might not otherwise have the means of obtaining enough food on weekends.  Through the generosity of community members and the support of their employer, Julie and Cindy have initiated the program in several of our local schools and are hoping to increase the program so that it reaches throughout Douglas County.

Julie and Cindy personify this years parade theme of Neighbors Helping Neighbors and we salute them and all community members who help achieve the NOW programs goals.

Parade Process
The following is the process you should follow if you would like to be part of the parade:
First you should fill out the form on the next page and get it to us as early as possible, as a lot of planning goes into the parade line-up and staging.  Please be very specific on the form especially with the length of your entry, as this is what we go by for numbering the staging area.
Next just show up in time to start in your position.  We assign numbers to each entrant, as this is how everyone is judged, but we cannot give the number in advance because of people not showing up or late or just the day of the parade without an entry.  "Anyone can be in the parade" as long as your entry meets with the viewing guidelines for young children.  If you show up without an entry you can still be in the parade but are not qualified for one of our many TROPHIES.
When you come to the parade you will enter from North 21st and Mortirelli drive and will be given your parking spot then.
